Jamaat calls hartal for tomorrow, Sunday News Desk: Jamaat-e-Islami has called countrywide hartal from 6:00am Thursday to 6:00am Friday and 6:00am Sunday to 6:00am Monday protesting the Supreme Court verdict that awarded war criminal Delawar Hossain Sayedee jail till death. The announcement came as a part of Jamaat’s four-day protest programme following the verdict on Sayedee, said a press release signed by Jamaat acting ameer Moqbul Ahmed and acting secretary general Shafiqur Rahman. The others programmes include offering doa for Sayedee on Friday and countrywide demonstration on Saturday. In the release, Jamaat demands immediate release of Sayedee.
