A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: "An 11-year-old male pupil at a primary school in South Lanarkshire has been referred to the Youth Justice Co-ordinator (a police officer within the Restorative Justice Department) for alleged drugs offences. "A decision has still to be made as to disposal - whether a referral to the Early and Effective Intervention Co-ordinator - a multi-agency team with a social work lead - or a police report to the Scottish Children's Reporter Administrator." Russians pay the price of new anti Turkish measures

Russia imposes sanctions on Turkey and marginalises Turkish interests in Russia to its own detriment. Saint Petersburg, Russia - Before starting his one-man rally in front of the Turkish consulate in early December, Timur Bulatov consulted police officers guarding the building in the historic area of Russia's second-largest city. He showed them a photo of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan with Turkey's moon-and-star national emblem turned to the side so that the crescent formed two horns above the mustachioed politician's head. The officers warned Bulatov that a public display of the offensive image would get him arrested. But the bespectacled and outspoken activist of the People's Council, a pro-Kremlin, neo-conservative vigilante group, still posed with the photo -...

On Dec. 28, 2015, Britain's Prime Minister David Cameron visited the flood-hit historic city of York as cities, towns and villages across northern England battled to get back on their feet following the devastating flood. Several homes were evacuated in Yorkshire and Lancashire, due to overflowing of rivers in Manchester, Hebden Bridge and Leeds. The bad habits which end marriages, according to a law firm

From conveniently forgetting to take out the rubbish to disappearing when the washing up needs to be done, a household is a ripe setting from bringing out your partner’s most irritating habits. And figures suggest that infuriating niggles are the downfall for many marriages. Law firm JMW Solicitors, which deals with just over 300 divorces each year, has revealed that one in ten cases are linked to a partner’s habits. Such irritants included patronising attitudes, treating a spouse like a child and becoming lax with personal hygiene, The Telegraph reported. Newham, East London, sees UK’s biggest house price rise

Newham in east London experienced the biggest rise in property values during 2015, according to Halifax, as buyers priced out of the heart of the capital looked for houses within commuting distance of the city. Stamp duty changes have made it more expensive to buy houses at the top end of the market, meaning Kensington and Chelsea was among the top 10 areas showing the weakest property growth last year, with prices up just 1%. In contrast, prices in Newham jumped 22%, while Royston in Hertfordshire and the London boroughs of Redbridge, Enfield, Croydon and Bexley were also in the top 10 risers. Merthyr Tydfil in south Wales was the worst performer in the Halifax survey, with prices down 3.8%, followed by Colwyn Bay in north Wales, and Durham, north-east England. Halifax’s ...
