A British glamour model name Kimberley Miners is on an Islamic State terror watch by U.K. authorities after she exchanged messages with a known ISIS recruiter on social media.
Ex-model Kimberley Miners, who has modelled for publications such as The Sun, is alleged to have used Facebook under the alias Aisha Lauren al-Britaniya to communicate with Abu Usamah al-Britani in Syria, who has been trying to recruit a new group of jihadi brides from the West.
Authorities are investigating the issue following her social media activities of “liking” and sharing ISIS videos. Anti-terrorist police and MI5 have warned her that she could face arrest if she continued her activities. However, she insists that she only cares about the plight of the Syrian children.
The model, who has been pictured wearing a full-covered veil, told The Sunday Times, “I’ve shared a lot of bombs and stuff [on Facebook]; I’ve shared a lot of videos.”
The 27-year-old model has reportedly also posted images of Muslim women with rifles and other weaponry.
While Miners admitted to travelling to Turkey on two previous occasions with another upcoming trip in autumn, she has denied that she wants to marry a jihadist.
Miners said, “I’ve gone from glamour model to something completely different. But that again makes you wonder. You don’t get s*** for wearing nowt but the second you start wearing the veil, you get accused of extremism.”
Islamic State extremists are known for recruiting women from the West to be jihadi brides.
According to reports, as many as 100 women and girls are believed to have travelled to Syria after being recruited by ISIS members.
In 2013, Sally Jones, a former punk rocker from Kent fled to Syria to join ISIS.
A recent report also stated that, Jones, who also goes by the name of Mrs Terror or the White Widow had reportedly converted her 11-year-old son into a jihadi executionist.
