Older people from a variety of backgrounds attended an Eid party with celebrations, food and music at Toynbee Hall Wellbeing Centre in Spitalfields on Thursday June 29.
The council works in partnership with residents, health and community organisations to help improve the health, wealth, and wellbeing of older residents.
And community organisation Toynbee Hall is one of five LinkAge Plushubs commissioned by the council to offer residents aged 50 and over, a range of social and health related activities.

Our aim is to ensure that Tower Hamlets is a borough where growing older is about retaining independence and dignity. Social activities such as the Eid party at Toynbee Hall help make this possible.
