Eyewitnesses describe horror M5 lorry crash

    Eyewitness have revealed the full horror after a lorry smashed through a central barrier on the M5, leaving at least four dead and a woman and two children fighting for their lives. The truck was travelling along the southbound carriageway when it suddenly smashed through the barrier and ploughed into several vehicles, witnesses said. Dozens of motorists leapt from their vehicles to help victims and pulled screaming children and their parents from burning cars. A hero cardiologist, who was among those that rushed to the aid of one of victims, said one car was absolutely destroyed and another had flipped over. London Parsons Green Tube attack: Second man arrested in connection with terrorist attack

    A second man has been arrested by detectives investigating the terrorist attack at Parsons Green station, the Metropolitan Police has said. The 21-year-old man was arrested in Hounslow around 11.50pm on Saturday under the Terrorism Act. He was taken to a south London police station and remains in custody. An 18-year-old man was arrested in the departure area of the port of Dover in connection with the attack on Saturday morning. He was arrested by Kent Police under the Terrorism Act and remains in custody at a London police station. Deputy Assistant Commissioner Neil Basu described the arrest as very significant. Koala survives 10 mile ride clinging to four wheel drive axle

    A koala in Australia survived a lengthy trip while clinging to the axle of a four-wheel drive vehicle. The driver was unaware of the koala clinging to his wheel throughout the 10 mile journey through Adelaide until he stopped his car after being flagged down by other motorists, reports UPI. He then heard the animal’s cries coming from underneath the vehicle and called the Koala Rescue Hotline, which sent rescuer Jane Brister to the scene. Brister then contacted Metropolitan Fire Service to help remove the vehicles wheel to free the koala. I could smell her burnt fur, Brister told The Guardian. It would have been hot in there.
