Newborn baby found stuffed in carrier bag and slowly suffocating

Heart breaking footage has emerged of an abandoned baby boy found suffocating inside carrier bags just hours after being born. The suffering newborn was discovered wrapped in plastic shopping bags on a motorbike and side car at 1am on Monday, reports the Mirror. The baby was covered in blood and still had his umbilical cord attached when a group of friends heard his cries as they returned from a birthday party. Medics said the baby had been slowly suffocating inside the bags and thankfully had not been alive long enough to contract infections from rubbish strewn in the street in Caloocan City, Philippines. Emergency services arrived and rushed the boy to hospital where we was declared perfectly healthy with a a full of head of hair. Sean Casiman, a 21-year-old man who foun...

Special rights for Irish citizens in UK at risk

Irish citizens in Britain could lose their right to live, work and get NHS services in the country after Brexit, according to a new report that warns that the special status enjoyed by thousands of Irish in the UK is far from secure. Laws governing their status are a “patchwork” that could fall apart under post-Brexit political and practical pressures, says the report, which comes before Monday’s launch of a campaign urging the UK government to pass legislation that would guarantee the longstanding rights of Irish citizens. The document, drawn up by legal experts on behalf of the Irish Traveller Movement (ITM), concludes that many of the rights currently enjoyed by Irish nationals in the UK exist only because they are EU citizens. It warns that the Irish might be caught up...

The rogue country described the intercontinental ballistic missile as "the most powerful it has fired to date. Photoshot Ominously, North Korea boasted that it could reach "all of mainland USA. US President Donald Trump said: It is a situation we will handle. We will take care of it. So, what do we know about the new missile and how worried should we be? Doner kebabs could soon be banned across Europe due to links with heart disease

A late-night kebab could soon be a thing of the past, according to legislation which has been put forward by the European Union. According to Metro, the legislation would make doner kebabs – which originated in Turkey — illegal across Europe, because of the phosphates that they contain and their links to cardiovascular disease. The popular dish often consumed after a night out is made up of shaved kebab meat in a pita, usually with shredded lettuce, tomatoes, onions, and a variety of dressings. An estimated 1.3 million doner kebabs are sold every day in the UK from more than 20,000 outlets, according to The Guardian, while 200,000 people work in the multi-billion euro industry across Europe. Meanwhile, according to German daily newspaper Frankfurter Rundschau, there are ar...

If Brexit Offer Is Unacceptable To Ireland, It’s Unacceptable To Us: EU Tells May

Irish Taoiseach Leo Varadkar has received the full backing of his European counterparts as he warned he was prepared to stand firm on the Brexit Irish border issue. European Council president Donald Tusk said if the UK’s offer was unacceptable to Ireland then it would also be unacceptable for the rest of the EU states. Only a few days remain before a deal can be agreed between the EU and UK to allow talks to go on to post-Brexit trade issues and the future of the open Irish border remains a key concern. Donald Tusk, right, has warned that the UK's Brexit offer must be acceptable to Ireland, with the country's president Leo Varadkar, left, warning he is prepared to stand firm. Tusk said: The key to the UK’s future lies in some ways in Dublin, at least as long as Brexit nego...

Christians should pray for Prince George to be gay, says senior Scottish reverend

Christians should pray for Prince George to be gay in order to force the Church of England to support same-sex marriage, a senior Anglican minister has said. The Very Rev Kelvin Holdsworth wrote in a blog post that Christians should hope that the Lord blesses George with the love of a fine young gentleman to help the progression of LGBTQ+ rights in the church. He wrote: If people don’t want to engage in campaigning in this way, they do in England have another unique option, which is to pray in the privacy of their hearts (or in public if they dare) for the Lord to bless Prince George with a love, when he grows up, of a fine young gentleman. A royal wedding might sort things out remarkably easily, though we might have to wait 25 years for that to happen. Who knows whether t...
