Passport Warning For Brit Tourists Abroad

The Foreign Office has warned holidaymakers about the techniques used by hustlers to steal passports after more than 21,000 British tourists lost or had theirs stolen abroad last year. Consulates around the world had to issue more than 30,000 emergency travel documents to globe-trotting Britons stuck overseas. A new passport costs £72.50, while an emergency document is £100. That means Brits spent around £4.5m on replacing their vital travel documents in order to get home. James Freedman, a fraud and crime expert, has joined forces with the FCO which has launched an online campaign called #PassportAware to advise Brits on how to avoid being targeted by thieves. The four most common scams include someone posing as an official or police officer and asking to look at your pas...

British Muslim School girl Kadiza believed killed in Syria was too scared to flee Isis

A British school girl thought to have been killed in an airstrike in Syria was fearful of the risks involved in trying to rescue her from Islamic State and could not “make the leap of faith” needed to try to escape, sources have told the Guardian. Kadiza Sultana, who left her home in Bethnal Green, east London, during the half-term break in February 2015 with friends Shamima Begum and Amira Abase, is believed to have died in the terror group’s stronghold of Raqqa earlier this year. Sultana is thought to have become disillusioned with life in Raqqa and had been considering attempting to make her way back to Britain. But sources on Friday said the former Bethnal Green academy student feared the dangers of such a plan failing were too high, and that she would be caught and pu...

A British woman with the 100 years old kidney but her original age 68 year old

A British woman has astounded doctors with a 100-year-old kidney that is still going strong - and thought to be the world’s oldest successfully transplanted organ. Sue Westhead was in her twenties when she received the organ from her mother, who was 57 at the time, after being diagnosed with kidney disease in 1973. It was estimated to function for no more than two decades before needing a replacement – but the 68-year-old from Wearside has defied medical expectations with it lasting more than double that. Sue Westhead, 68, has astounded doctors because her 100-year-old kidney is still working. Mrs Westhead received the organ from her mother, who was 57 at the time, during her 20s. Recording Act discussed by Israeli Prime Minister in the past and turned down

Although the Israeli Prime Minister’s office rejected the claims that Netanyahu is promoting a legislative change that would prohibit recordings that are unknown to both parties involved and the broadcasting of such recordings, it turns out that Netanyahu’s office dealt with the matter more than two years ago. Former Israeli Attorney General Yehuda Weinstein turned down the process because of legislative implications. Netanyahu discussed the act over two years ago Photo Credit: Amos Ben Gershom/Channel 2 News The Israeli Prime Minister’s office explained that Netanyahu isn’t promoting an act that would prohibit someone from recording another person without his knowledge or consent and broadcast such recordings. They also noted that this was expressed from a fundamental sta...

Isis decimated in Iraq and Syria and could only have 15,000 fighters left, US commander says

US has more work to do to prepare an air base in northern Iraq before Mosul takeover can happen. The number of Isis combatants in Iraq and Syria has been decimated by military campaigns, leaving as few as 15,000 to fight, according to a senior US commander. Lieutenant General Sean MacFarland said the total was difficult to accurately measure, but the estimated number of Isis fighters in the war-stricken countries is now between 15,000 and 20,000. Mr MacFarland claimed 45,000 enemy fighters are no longer on the front line after US backed operations. The new figure of Isis fighters has shrunk from earlier approximations of between 19,000 and 25,000. The US commander said the quality was of the fighters in combat was decreasing. Forces with US support in Iraq and Syria were a...

Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan detained at US airport

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan took to Twitter Friday to express his annoyance at being detained by US airport immigration authorities for the third time, saying the experience really, really sucks. The last time Khan, 50, was detained by immigration officials in New York in 2012, it sparked uproar among his Indian fans who accused the US of racial profiling, and led Washington to apologise. I fully understand & respect security with the way the world is, but to be detained at US immigration every damn time really really sucks," Khan tweeted after he was pulled aside at Los Angeles airport. The brighter side is while waiting caught some really nice Pokemons. As news of Khan's detention broke on Indian television channels, US Assistant Secretary of State Nisha Biswa...

British Bangladeshi Muslim School girl Killed Air Strike Who Join Islamic State in Syria

One of the three schoolgirls from Bethnal Green who fled to Syria to live in the so-called Islamic State has died in an air strike, it has been reported. Kadiza Sultana, 17, is thought to have died in a Russian air strike in Raqqa, IS’ de facto capital, earlier this year. Sultana and her friends Shamima Begum and Amira Abase were the subject of huge press attention when they fled Britain, via Turkey, to join IS, in February 2015. Their families made public appeals for information after the girls flew from Gatwick to Turkey and caught a bus to the border, before being smuggled into Syria. Sultana is believed to have died in May when the building she was staying in was bombed. ITV News reported Sultana has become disillusioned with life under IS and was planning to escape an...

Pyramid investment scheme worth £160 MILLION shut down after taking money from 162,000 people

News Desk: Get-rich-quick scheme Traffic Monsoon stinks to high hell, one worried investor told me when I reported on it in January. That verdict seems to have been confirmed now that it’s been shut down after taking around £160million from 162,000 people worldwide – many in the UK. The man behind Traffic Monsoon is Charles Scoville, an American “entrepreneur” with a history of similar schemes. Before running my article in January, I gave him the chance to respond to criticisms, the most obvious being that it was a pyramid or Ponzi scheme. I put a simple question to him: What is Traffic Monsoon’s main source of revenue? Scoville never replied, but elsewhere has claimed that members make money by buying “AdPacks”, which earn revenue from online advertising. But now we know the true answer t...
