Britain’s ultimate part time job advertised

Fancy applying for a part time role which is being billed as ‘Britain’s ultimate part-time job’?

Well next year one lucky job hunter could get paid £10,000 to go on a jolly around the UK and Europe.

The role of chief adventure officer is being advertised by National Rail, which has described it as Britain’s ultimate part-time job.

The successful applicant will use a 16-25 Railcard to travel around, with their destinations decided by the public, who will get to vote on their activities such as flying a gyroplane in Carlisle, braving the world’s fastest zipwire in Snowdonia or going on a graffiti tour in Bristol.

On top of all that the adventure officer will also get to go inter-railing around Europe in the summer!

But there is a bit of a catch.

Whoever gets the job will have to vlog – video blog – their travels, to promote the railcard.

National Rail director Jyoti Bird said: “At this time of year people are starting to think about all of the places they want to visit, and all of the things they want to achieve in 2018.

19 Highest-Paying Part-Time Jobs “January is also a popular time for people to start thinking about their next career move. We wanted to combine the two, which is why we are offering someone the opportunity to inspire others to explore more of Britain, in a fun and exciting way.

“Our new chief adventure officer needs to be someone who lives to discover new places, and has a desire to share their experiences with others. They need to be adventurous, passionate about travel and good at creating content so they can bring their journeys to life for others.”

Railcards help customers save a third on most rail fares in Britain.

Applicants must be aged between 16-25, or be a mature student.

To apply create a 60 second video about your last trip and submit it to the 16-25 Railcard website before February 11. For more details visit
