Theresa May has invited all Labour MPs to a private Brexit briefing as she begs them to back her deal.
The Prime Minister will ramp up her two-week campaign to save her deal and her career with the behind-closed-doors session at 8pm.
A note sent to Labour MPs has said it will be held by her Cabinet deputy, David Lidington, and chief of staff Gavin Barwell.
A Labour source said many MPs were expected to turn up.
Remain-backing MP Wes Streeting tweeted: Hope this is as good as the last briefing when Boris Johnson resigned. You can’t buy that kind of entertainment.
Shadow minister Andrew Gwynne joked: Do we get knighthoods for attending? Tory MP John Hayes was handed a knighthood last week but is vowing to vote down the deal anyway.
Jeremy Corbyn is not expected to attend the meeting.
Brexiteer sources complained Mr Barwell had previously told Tory MPs the deal must not get through only on Labour votes.
The Prime Minister will tell MPs of all parties today they have a duty to deliver on the 2016 vote for Brexit.
She and EU chiefs have both insisted her pact is the only deal possible in a bid to persuade MPs to back it on December 12.
But Labour’s shadow Brexit Secretary insisted if it fails she could be sent back to Brussels to negotiate better terms.
Sir Keir Starmer said: If you had a vast majority saying we don’t authorise the Government to leave with no deal, it would be very difficult for the Government politically to do so.
I accept that may not be legally binding.
But here would then have to be legislation before March for any Government preparing for no deal and there would be plenty of opportunities to put amendments down to that to require the Government to do things.
For example, to extend Article 50. I accept that no deal is something that is going to have to involve the whole EU but I think there would be a very strong push by the majority in Parliament against no deal.
I don’t think this Prime Minister would simply plough on regardless, as she knows how dangerous no deal is.
