This woman’s yoga fail is going viral

Chisa Tolbertson, a 22-year-old musician from Denver, posted the video of her yoga fail on Twitter back in May, For better or worse, the world of yoga has gotten increasingly more epic. While we used to just have vinyasa, or hot yoga, or aerial yoga if you were really adventurous, yoga goers nowadays are attending goat yoga, and naked yoga, and even drunk yoga. The main goal behind all of these themed-yoga classes is clear: they're doing it for the 'gram. It may have been the same goal that landed one woman literally in (probably cold) water when she attempted to do a fancy yoga pose on a log over a river earlier this year. Instead of a perfectly posed photo, Chisa Tolbertson, a 22-year-old musician from Denver, posted the video of her yoga fail on Twitter back in May, but...

Automatic rate reduction for thousands of businesses will boost Tower Hamlets’ economy

Thousands of small to medium sized businesses are set to see an automatic reduction in their business rate bills this year, under exceptional council plans to boost the borough's economy. Cabinet's decision to agree the Business Rates Relief scheme will automatically put more than £8 million back into the coffers of local business rate payers over the next four years. Business rates are a tax on properties such as shops, factories and offices that are not used for domestic purposes. In March this year, the government announced a £300 million fund to support businesses facing the steepest increase in their business rates, as a result of revaluation - an estimate of what the property could be let for on the open market. Tower Hamlets has been allocated £8.184 million over four years - th...

Philip Hammond causes storm with remarks about disabled workers

Disability charity Scope called on Philip Hammond to withdraw his totally unacceptable and derogatory comments after he said Britain’s sluggish productivity could partly be blamed on more disabled people in the workforce . In Wednesday’s treasury select committee, the chancellor was asked about low economic productivity levels, which he had reported during the autumn Budget last month. At first, he responded saying that high levels of unemployment, particularly youth unemployment, will be felt for many many years to come. He then added: It is almost certainly the case that by increasing participation in the workforce, including far higher levels of participation by marginal groups and very high levels of engagement in the workforce, for example of disabled people something...

Hamas calls for uprising as Palestinians protest Trump’s Jerusalem stance

In the West Bank, the Palestinian Authority called for a general strike and in Gaza, the Islamist Hamas movement called for its followers to ignite a third intifada, or uprising, against Israel. Angry statements condemning Trump's decision also filled newspaper headlines in Arab countries across the region. Trump's announcement on Wednesday that he would move the U.S. Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem and his declaration that he recognized Jerusalem as Israel's capital, reversed a decades-old U.S. policy. Many fear the step could spark another bloody conflict in the region. Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh called for a new uprising in the Palestinian territories and for Friday to be a day of rage. Tomorrow should be a day of rage and the beginning of a broad movement for an up...
