NHS fail to provide terminal breast cancer patients

Thousands of terminal breast cancer patients are being left abandoned after being denied access to a specialist nurse, the charity Breast Cancer Care has warned. According to figures released to coincide with the international awareness day for the disease, almost three quarters (72 per cent) of NHS trusts across the UK do not provide dedicated nurses. The charity said that there had only been a 7 per cent increase in trusts providing crucial nursing support in the two years since they last looked into the issue. That comes despite the government's cancer strategy promising three years ago that all cancer patients would have access to a designated nurse by 2020. Abandoned patients People living with incurable breast cancer tell us that access to a specialist nu...

DUP chief ready for no-deal Brexit

DUP leader Arlene Foster gives a press conference after a meeting with Michel Barnier in Brussels. Theresa May has been told that the DUP leader, Arlene Foster, is now ready to trigger a no-deal Brexit and regards this as the likeliest outcome following a hostile and difficult exchange with the EU’s chief negotiator, an explosive set of leaked government emails reveal. Foster emerged from a meeting last week in Brussels with Michel Barnier, the French official leading the EU’s negotiating team, convinced that the prospects for a Brexit deal were fading so fast that, given Brussels’ stance on Northern Ireland, an agreement had become the least likely outcome. Senior government advisers were swiftly informed that the DUP leader was ready for the UK to crash out of th...

Labour MPs to rescue PM’s Brexit

The MPs include the first to state publicly that they will struggle to vote against a deal secured in Brussels if the alternative is a no-deal Brexit – even if, as expected, Jeremy Corbyn orders his party to oppose it. They say that crashing out of the EU would be a disaster for their constituents, while also fearing a backlash from voters accusing them of blocking Brexit. It comes as Ms May appears resigned to having to rely on Labour votes to secure parliament’s support for her deal in the face of staunch opposition from many of her own Eurosceptic backbenchers. Labour MPs told The Independent that at least 15 could rebel against Mr Corbyn and back the government, which could be enough to tip the balance in the Commons in favour of the deal. One prepared to go p...

The demand for the addition of colonial history in the British curriculum

There is a demand for the addition of the British colonial history in British curriculum. It's demanded that the leader of the opposition party Labor Party Jeremy Corbyn. The leader, known as anti-apartheid, believes that the impact of British colonialism should be taught in schools. This is a very important issue. He told about his position this week. From the 1940s to the 1970s, the term migratory migrants to the United Kingdom was termed as Windshield Generation. Many of the incumbent immigration policies of the British government were considered illegal in the country. Missing journalist recorded killing

Missing Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi recorded audio on his Apple watch of the moments he was allegedly interrogated, tortured and then killed, according to reports. He has not been seen since he entered the Saudi consulate in Istanbul over a week ago after apparently giving his fiancee his iPhone, which the watch was synced with. Turkish officials have said they believe a 15-member Saudi assassination squad killed Mr Khashoggi there. President Trump warned the US would inflict severe punishment if Saudi Arabia was behind his disappearance. He told CBS: We're going to get to the bottom of it. The Saudi journalist, who has been critical of the kingdom's Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, is believed to have turned on the recording feature before he went inside th...

Tories hit by candidate shortfall

The number of applications is down on previous years across the board, the prime minister has been warned even as the turmoil at Westminster cuts the odds on a snap poll. Some branches in target seats have been forced to postpone decisions, despite pressure to get candidates in place early, the executive editor of the ConservativeHome website said. The warning comes as the Democratic Unionist Party’s threat to pull its backing for the Tories, in a bitter clash over Brexit, leaves the government’s future in growing doubt. Without the DUP, Ms May lacks a majority and if unable to pass a budget will face demands to accept she is unable to govern and must stand down. Mark Wallace, the ConservativeHome editor, wrote: The number of applications submitted to stand in the...

South Korea: North Korea intends complete denuclearisation

North Korean leader Kim Jong Un intends to get rid of his nuclear stockpile and destroy any nuclear materials and facilities to achieve complete denuclearisation, South Korean President Moon Jae-in said on Friday. By complete denuclearization, he meant to start by stopping additional nuclear and missile tests, and then abolish the facilities that produce the nukes and develop the missiles, and all the existing nuclear weapons and materials, Moon said, according to a script of an interview with BBC shared with Reuters. Kim and President Trump held a summit in Singapore in June to negotiate North Korea's denuclearization. While North Korea has not tested any missiles or nuclear weapons since the summit and has returned three U.S. hostages and what the White House says...

May to force big business to publish race pay gap

The PM is launching a major consultation on mandatory reporting of wage differences between white workers and those from different ethnicities. The dramatic move is part of a series of measures to be unveiled today aimed at tackling barriers facing ethnic minorities in work. It comes after a previous voluntary call for all firms to publish ethnic pay gap details sparked only low levels of responses.
