Service users took part in the official opening of the Reset Drug and Alcohol Services on a 'Recovery Walk' event on Monday 3 July. Previously, services were split across several points of contact but now anyone requiring help with their drug / alcohol use can access support from a single point of access. Tower Hamlets pupils cooked up a veritable feast for their school community and special visitors, from produce they had grown for the official opening of their edible playground project. The children created canapes and dips from the fruit and vegetable garden they have cultivated themselves. Mayor of Tower Hamlets, John Biggs, was on hand to open the edible playground spaces. He said: "Helping local children grow their own nutritious food can bring so many benefits to their health and well being and it was wonderful to see how enthusiastic and involved the children were in this project.     Police are appealing for witnesses and information after a spate of five acid attacks during street robberies across east London late last night all thought to be connected. The Home Office is considering tough new restrictions on corrosive substances after a new string of acid attacks in London, amid calls from one London MP for tougher sentences for possession of harmful acids. Overnight, a 16-year-old boy was arrested as police launched a major investigation into a series of acid attacks that took place in less than 90 minutes across east London on Thursday night, with one victim said to have suffered life-changing injuries.     Three men have been acquitted of killing a talented martial artist. An Old Bailey jury found Abdallah Salaheedin, 29, of Blackboy Lane, Tottenham, Bobby Lawrence, 21, of Canonbury Street, Canonbury, and Billy Flynn, 24, of Laburnum Walk, Hornchurch, not guilty of the manslaughter of Jordan Bari and of possession of a firearm with intent. The 20-year-old, from Stratford’s East Village, was shot dead while answering the door of a flat in William Rathbone House, Bethnal Green, on October 3.     Police are appealing for information to find an 16-year-old girl who may be in Whitechapel or Shadwell. Aneesa Bibi was last seen travelling from Shadwell to Aldgate East at approximately 11am on July 7. She is described as being of Bangladeshi origin, around 5ft 6ins tall, slim build with very long black hair. The teenager, who comes from Feltham, was last seen wearing a grey ribbed knee length dress with a square neck and white plimsolls with a lace pattern. She was also carrying a khaki floral Cath Kidston handbag. Anyone with information on her whereabouts should contact police 101 or Tweet @MetCC.
