Bangladesh Power Development Board has signed an MoU with General Electric to build a 3,600MW LNG-based power plant with an investment of $4.4 billion at Moheshkhali. BPDB Chairman Khaled Mahmood and GE Power President and CEO Russell Stokes signed the MoU on behalf of their respective sides at the Bidyut Bhaban in Dhaka yesterday.

Asian Development Bank has decided to invest $200 million initially for fuel transportation and trade facilitation for the development of Southwest Economic Corridor of Bangladesh. The decision was taken at a meeting between Executive Director of Bangladesh Investment Development Authority Kazi Aminul Islam and Representatives of ADB.
