    Three men have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a shootout with police in Forest Gate, east London. Officers were called to Lascelles Close at 22.45pm following reports of suspects seen in possession of firearms. A number of shots were fired at the officers as they pursued them by car. Police fired back at the men on nearby Bective Road. No suspects or police were injured in the incident. Officers from the Metropolitan Police's Armed Response Unit were pictured at the scene and images and video posted to social media show a large police presence as bystanders gathered to watch.     Sadiq Khan says he has seen evidence linking cocaine consumption and rising violence Cocaine use at middle-class parties is helping to fuel drug-related gang violence on the streets of London, Sadiq Khan has warned. London’s mayor said recreational drug use was not a victimless crime and he had seen evidence from authorities of a clear link between cocaine consumption and rising violence in the capital.
