London's first night czar Amy Lamé is asking residents to give their views on the benefits and impacts of Tower Hamlets' night time economy. Ms Lamé will be a guest speaker alongside Mayor of Tower Hamlets, John Biggs at a public meeting on 6 April from 6.30pm- 8.30pm at St Hilda's East Community Centre, 18 Club Row, London E2 7EY. Ms Lamé will present her vision of a thriving night time economy and Mayor Biggs will be on hand to listen to concerns from residents. Members from Tower Hamlets Overview and Scrutiny Committee (OSC) will facilitate. Crowdfund will give communities up to £50k for every project that makes neighbourhoods special, builds on local character and brings people together. John Biggs, Mayor of Tower Hamlets, elected members, a representative from the police and dozens of Tower Hamlets residents paid their respects at a vigil last night in support of the victims of the attack in Westminster. Attendees laid spring flowers to express solidarity with those who lost their lives or were injured at a memorial service in St John on Bethnal Green church. Written condolences and messages of peace were also shared with The Rt Revd. Adrian Newman, Bishop of Stepney, who led the service.     The wife of Westminster killer Khalid Masood has said she is saddened and shocked by his murderous rampage which left four dead. Rohey Hydara, who is understood to have lived with Masood in Birmingham, said: “I totally condemn his actions. I express my condolences to the families of the victims that have died and wish a speedy recovery to all the injured. It comes soon after his mother also branded his actions as an atrocity.
