11 science backed ways for men to appear more attractive

Be honest, straight men: You all want to know what women want. Luckily, a bunch of scientists have wondered the same thing. These types of studies are often small, and frequently rely on self-reported feelings in a lab, which may be different from how women truly react in real life. And the participants are often Western college students, who are not an especially a diverse group. So take the results with a grain of salt. But hey, whatever helps, right? Here are 11 science-supported traits that women find irresistible. 1) Good looks can be a factor, but they're not as important as you may think. In studies, women typically choose better looking guys for short term flings, not long-term relationships. Sources: Evolutionary Psychology, Journal of Personality and Social Psych...

David Cameron faces anger for failing to include Sovereignty Bill in Queen’s Speech

David Cameron on Wednesday abandoned plans to make Parliament supreme over European courts as ministers admitted the proposals were “unworkable” with Britain in the EU. In a row that overshadowed the Queen’s Speech, the Prime Minister was accused by Iain Duncan Smith, a former Cabinet minister, of "jettisoning" domestic priorities because of his "helter skelter” attempt to win the upcoming EU referendum. Downing Street on Wednesday night insisted it will still come forward with a Sovereignty Bill if Britain votes to stay in the EU on June 23. However, Eurosceptics said the pledge was derisory and said that the only way Britain can ever ensure its sovereignty is by leaving the EU. The failure to include a Sovereignty Bill came in a Queen’s Speech that Mr Cameron used to rea...

Chinese Electricity

Mahbub Hussain: With the world going after greener electric cars, China has joined in the rat race too. A lot of automotive startups have realized that electric cars are the future of everything and they are going berserk in making their electric vehicles, which are mere knock offs of Teslas. To make things worse for Tesla, the Chinese government offers generous subsidies to people who buy electric cars, but only if they are built in China; which Teslas obviously are not. So what are these clones? Huang Xiuyuan, a 28-year-old Chinese entrepreneur formed a company called Youxia, gathered a team of 50 engineers and designers and put the Ranger X in just 16 months. That is a mad feat, but seems quite possible given the fact the Youxia Ranger looks like an identical twin of the Tesla Model S f...

Queen’s Speech: Monarch Sets Out Key Policies

The Queen has set out the Government's agenda for the coming year amid accusations that David Cameron has watered down key measures. The measures in the Queen's Speech, delivered by the monarch in the House of Lords, is an attempt by the Prime Minister to advance a Government agenda and brush aside the toxic atmosphere over the EU. However, Mr Cameron has been accused of "tossing aside" reforms and "watering down" key elements of the Conservative's legislative programme in his "helter-skelter pursuit of the Referendum". Former Cabinet Minister Iain Duncan Smith claims the dilution of the speech has led to "increasing concern" among many Conservatives. The former Work and Pensions Secretary reserved most of his anger for the omission of the Sovereignty Bill, which was promi...
