Bangladesh beat Oman 7-0 in the Islami Bank Men’s Junior AHF Cup at the Moulana Bhashani National Hockey Stadium today.
Bangladesh took the lead with their very first penalty as Khorsedur Rahman drifted a low hit into the board after Milon’s push and Sarwar’s stop (1-0).
Forward Koushik scored the second in the 20th minute with a brilliant flick on free hit of Belal Hossain (2-0), according to a report uploaded on the official website of Bangladesh Hockey Federation.
Forward Milon scored in the 23rd minute with a diving hit after skipper Sarwar’s hit defelcted off the pad of Omani goalie Ahned Shaganah (3-0).
The fourth and the fifth goals were both scored by Khoeshedur Rahman in the 30th (4-0) and 35th minute (5-0) and both of them were scored off penalty corners.
Fourteen minutes after resumption skipper Sarwar added the sixth capitalzing a pass of Koiushik fed him with a nice through pass (6-0).
Rabbi Salehin scored the seventh in the 58th minute (7-0).
Bangladesh faces Sri Lanka and Oman plays Chiense Taipei in the last group fixtures before the place deciders on Saturday.
