Brussels should pay Brexit bill not UK

Brussels could be forced to pay the UK a Brexit divorce bill, rather than the other way round,  has said. The Foreign Secretary accused the EU of trying to bleed this country white with an expected bill of as much as €100bn (£84bn) to settle liabilities on withdrawal. He claimed the UK could definitely walk away without paying, and said Britain's share of EU assets is so valuable that Brussels may end up having to hand over money. Boris Johnson Asked whether he agreed with former Conservative leader Iain Duncan Smith that Britain might end up receiving a payment, Mr Johnson told the Daily Telegraph: I do, I think there are very good arguments. There are assets, I don't want to get too much into the detail of the negotiation but there are assets that we share, that we have ...

Cyber attack: A young UK researcher accidentally stops NHS and across the globe

A 22-year-old UK cyber security researcher accidentally managed to stop the spread of a ransomware attack that hit the NHS and organisations across the globe. The health service faces a weekend of chaos after the unprecedented attack forced hospitals to cancel and delay treatment for patients. The Royal London, St Bartholomew's, Whipps Cross and Newham are some of numerous hospitals to be hit by the attack, with messages flashing up saying that their files have been encrypted and they must pay cash or lose access to them. Using hacking tools believed to have been developed by the US National Security Agency, the ransomware infected tens of thousands of computers in nearly 100 countries. However, working alongside Darien Huss from security firm Proofpoint, a British cyber s...

The age you should stop wearing jeans

Surely there's no age limit on jeans? They're timeless. Studies are a wonderful thing, without it we might not know important information such as the best time to book flights, the most unfaithful star sign and now, the exact time you should ditch the denim. According to a PUS (Possibly Unnecessary Study) the exact moment to get rid of those skinny jeans you’ve been hanging on to is when you blow out the candles on your 53rd birthday cake. The study, conducted by UK parcel delivery service CollectPlus, surveyed 2000 Brits who agreed jeans are reserved for the younger folk - younger being anyone aged 52 and under that is (feeling great right about now?). "It's surprising to see our research reveals that many people think jeans are the reserve of the younger generation, sugg...

I lost my virginity to alien: artist’s bizarre claim

The movie Love and Saucers explores David Huggins’ tale of his out-of this-world romance with an ET. In the film, Huggins shows off his explicit paintings of his ‘alien lover’. One picture, which he called ‘Virginity Lost’, refers to the night he first claims he first had sex with Crescent, reports dailystar.co.uk. He described the alleged encounters as painful at first until they became lovers and even had a baby together. Huggins, who is actually married, says he has fathered several half-alien offspring to date – although it’s unclear whether he pays child maintenance towards them. He said: ‘I just lay down on the ground and she got on top of me. I have no idea why me. I just don’t know. ‘I don’t know much, but I do know for sure I lost my virginity to an extra-terrestr...

Trump asked FBI director three times if he was target of investigations

Donald Trump said Thursday he asked his now-fired FBI director on three occasions whether he was the target of ongoing investigations, stoking allegations of presidential interference. The US president also acknowledged that Russia was on his mind when he made the decision to sack James Comey, who had been heading a probe into suspected Russian influence in the 2016 election. ‘When I decided to just do it, I said to myself, I said you know, this Russia thing with Trump and Russia is a made up story,’ he said in an interview with NBC, appearing to link Comey’s firing with the investigation. Trump said he had asked Comey if he was the subject of counter-intelligence probes — twice in conversations over the phone and once over a White House dinner. ‘I actually asked him, yes....
