News Desk: An alleged drug addict stabbed his father, wife and two-year-old daughter to death in Dakhkhin Sunamganj upazila of Sunamganj last night.
Police arrested the killer, Alfu Mia, 45, hailed from Brahmangaon village in the upazila, reports our Sunamganj correspondent.
The deceased were identified as Alfu’s father Alauddin, 70, wife Beauty Begum, 32, and daughter Amina Begum, police said.
Alfu, a drug addict, demanded some money from his father last night, said Al Amin, officer-in-charge of Dakhkhin Sunamganj Police Station.
“Refused by Alauddin, Alfu stabbed him indiscriminately, leaving him dead on the spot,” the OC said.
Later, Alfu also stabbed dead his daughter and his wife, who tried to stop him from attacking his father, the police official added.
On information, police recovered the bodies and sent those to Sunamganj Sadar Hospital morgue for an autopsy.
