All of these tips and tricks apply to the most recent, stock version of Android: Android 4.4 KitKat. If you are using an older version (or the beta Android L), or running a version of Android tweaked by a manufacturer like Samsung, then some of the menus and screens may not match up exactly. However, you should be able to use most of the ideas here in some form or another no matter what flavour of Android you’re using.
