Tips to take you from techphobic to techtastic

Now in its sixth year of existence, Android has come to dominate the smartphone market in terms of handset numbers. Google’s mobile operating system has been extended to tablets, set-top boxes, even desktop computers, and we’re here to provide you with some tips and hacks you might not already know about — click through the gallery that follows to supercharge your Android experience.

All of these tips and tricks apply to the most recent, stock version of Android: Android 4.4 KitKat. If you are using an older version (or the beta Android L), or running a version of Android tweaked by a manufacturer like Samsung, then some of the menus and screens may not match up exactly. However, you should be able to use most of the ideas here in some form or another no matter what flavour of Android you’re using.
