Daniel Kaizen, 26, complained his journey was five times longer than it needed to be, after using the app to order an Uber from Old Street in central London to Wood Green in the north in the early hours of Easter Monday. The car went east towards Barking before taking the North Circular back around to the final destination. A screenshot from Mr Kaizen's phone shows the route taken was far from direct. German train operator introduces women only carriages amid fears over migrant sex attacks

    A German train operator has announced it is introducing women and children-only train carriages amid fears over sex attacks in the country. The Regiobahn line between Leipzig and Chemnitz will introduce the carriages to increase security for women. The carriages will be next to the train conductor in a bid to make women feel more safe. A spokesman for the railway said: “The local proximity to the customer service representative is chosen deliberately.” Germany is still reeling from a a string of sex attacks in Cologne on New Year's Eve, allegedly carried out by dozens of migrants.     Businessman Kim Wong admitted during a Senate hearing today that US$21.6 million of the funds allegedly stolen from the Bank of Bangladesh went to his company but said he is willing to return half of the amount. “Yung P1 billion, nasa Eastern Hawaii casino, nandoon po, at may P550 million natitira po,” Wong said when he testified at the Senate blue ribbon committee’s ongoing investigation into the alleged $81 million or about P4 billion money laundering scheme.     A hijacker strapped with fake explosives has been arrested in Cyprus after several of his hostages fled the plane. Egyptian national Seif Eldin Mustafa emerged from the aircraft with his hands aloft after a stand-off lasting eight hours. The Cypriot foreign minister tweeted: "It's over. The #hijacker arrested." A hijacker with a fake suicide belt emerges from the EgyptAir plane with his hands aloft - but his motive remains unclear.
