A Police Super’s wife was shot dead by miscreants at GEC Intersection in the port city on Sunday morning.
The deceased was identified as Mahmuda Khanom Mitu, the wife of Deputy Police Commissioner of Dhaka Babul Akhter. Three motorbike riders hacked and then shot Mitu dead at the GEC intersection of Chittagong this morning.
Mahmuda Khanom Mitu was taking her son Mahir to the Chittagong Public School at around 5:30 in the morning. While waiting for the school bus at the GEC intersection, 3 riders on a motorbike approached and surrounded her. After a brief altercation, the attackers pushed Mitu down and hacked her with sharp weapons. They then shot Mitu dead and made their escape.
