High Court has directed 20 pharmaceutical companies to stop production after their medicines were found to be substandard. The court also issued a rule seeking explanation as to why the licenses of these companies should not be cancelled.
A High Court bench consisting of Judges Dastagir Hossain and AKM Shahidul Huq passed the order today. Earlier, a parliamentary probe committee formed by the Health Ministry investigated 84 pharmaceutical companies in 2014.
