Why you should never hand over your card to the server when paying with contactless
With a simple tap, money will fly out of your bank account and into the pockets of the landlord or restaurant owner.
But sometimes your waiter, waitress or bartender won't present the card machine to you for you to tap. They'll ask to take your card so they can do it themselves.
That's fine, right? Wrong. According to fraud expert Andrew Goodwill, you should never hand over your card in any circumstances.
The founder of the Goodwill Group against CNP (card not present) fraud shared his advice with Mirror Online.
