White House Senior Advisor and President Donald Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner reads a statment in front of West Wing of the White House after testifying behind closed doors to…
Jared Kushner, President Trump’s senior adviser and son-in-law, is registered to vote in New York State as a woman, state records show.
The New Jersey native first registered to vote in the Empire State in November 2009 as a female, records first discovered by the liberal-leaning American Bridge group.
It wasn’t immediately clear what happened that Kushner was registered as a woman, and was an active voter as of this November.
The 36-year-old real estate developer has been tasked with reforming the government and moderating a peace plan in the Middle East.
Kushner can’t even fill out the most basic paperwork without screwing it up, so it’s a mystery why anyone thinks he’s somehow going to bring peace to the Middle East, American Bridge spokesman Brad Bainum said in a statement. Would anyone but the president’s son-in-law still have a West Wing job after repeated disclosure errors and a botched a security clearance form?
This isn’t the first time Kushner has apparently had issues filling out other paperwork, too.
He updated a disclosure report at least three times, listing over 100 foreign contacts he didn’t initially file, CBS News reported in July.
That came after he initially listed no foreign contacts on the disclosure form, which was necessary to get security clearance. He initially said the report was filed early by accident, but the Washington Post later reported other key items were missing.
Kushner also didn’t initially disclose he attended a meeting last summer with a Russian lawyer at Trump tower. He’s denied he colluded with Russia to influence last year’s election.
The state’s Board of Elections didn’t immediately comment.
