The UK Might Be Getting An EXTRA Public Holiday This Summer

A bit of good news to brighten up your day – we could be getting an extra day off in June to mark the Queen’s 65th year on the throne. MPs will debate whether there should be an extra public holiday this summer to celebrate her Sapphire Jubilee, as there was in 2012 for her Diamond Jubilee. Conservative MP Andrew Rosindell said it would be a “missed opportunity” if the country didn’t celebrate the Queen’s achievement, and the public could spend the day throwing street parties and other events, the Evening Standard reported. (Alternatively, you could spend it drinking Pimm’s in a pub garden or doing whatever else you so please! You don't have to be a monarchist to appreciate a day off, after all.) If Rosindell's Queen's Sapphire Jubilee Bill passes, it will guarantee us a d...

Budget 2017: tax rise for self-employed what it means

Millions of self-employed workers face a rise in their National Insurance rates, bringing them closer in line with conventional employees. The move will cost 60p a week to the average self-employed person and save the Government £145m by 2021-22, Philip Hammond said. Donald Trump’s presidency might be short-lived because something’s gotta give

During the election campaign he made sexist, racist and discriminatory remarks in an attempt to get different sections of the American voting public onside. His trademark "off-the-cuff" mass-communication style has made him relatable and extraordinarily popular. But his main goal, right from his first election speech, has been to "make America great again". That means more jobs, tax cuts for corporate America, tighter borders, and better trade deals. So is he succeeding? Is he actually "delivering the goods" to his voters? What if I told you a very wealthy, powerful collection of people are already starting to make up their minds about Donald Trump? The crash in the Mexican peso predicted the Trump presidency weeks before the election. Now, however, it's the bond market (a...
