WikiLeaks revelations put CIA on back foot

Another major leak of top secret materials has again put America’s top spies in hot water while delivering a coup for anti-secrecy group WikiLeaks. The group left the Central Intelligence Agency heavily bruised with the publication Tuesday of nearly 9,000 documents it said were only part of a huge trove of records, plans and malware code in its possession purportedly the entire CIA hacking arsenal. Adding insult to injury, WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange scolded the agency as extremely careless to have lost control of the materials WikiLeaks said they got access to it via the circle of private contractors to US intelligence. Trump at Trump Tower in Manhattan and told reporters afterward that both Mr. Trump and Jeff Sessions, who is now the attorney general, had asked him about staying on, which the prosecutor said he expected to do. But on Friday, Mr. Bharara was among federal prosecutors who received a call from Dana ...

Fighter jets escort Air India passenger flight into Heathrow Airport

A plane carrying hundreds of passengers was escorted into Heathrow airport by German and Belgian fighter jets after it went off radar over Europe. Fighter jets were scrambled after the Air India plane lost contact with air traffic control as it flew over Hungary at around 8.15am on Friday. The UK-bound flight was on its way back from Gujarat in India and was passing over Eastern Europe when the loss of radio contact sparked fears it could have been hijacked. Hungarian, German and Belgian pilots flew fighter jets alongside the 787 Dreamliner plane, which was carrying 231 passengers, for two hours as it passed over Europe.
